Located in the commune of Puligny-Montrachet, the center of the four communes comprising the renowned Côte des Blancs, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet has eastern exposure and a chalky soil that is quite heavy on the surface. As is often the case with these two wines the nose is quite similar to that of the Pucelles if perhaps just a bit more complex. There is a similar texture as well to the more concentrated and even slightly more refined flavors that deliver very fine length and depth on the youthfully austere and notably firm finale
