The unique terroir of our rocky, higher-elevation Mount Veeder estate combines a cool, marine-influenced climate with exceptional sun exposure to naturally develop Cabernet Franc’s inherently earthbound, spice and black fruit flavors. This classic Bordeaux variety possesses power and poise and contributes layered, concentrated, earthen, and fruit flavors to our Signature Cabernet Sauvignon each year. 

TASTING NOTES Dark fruit aromas of black raspberry, plum, and tangy blackberry set the stage for the bold, yet refined 2022 Signature Cabernet Franc. As the wine unfolds, delicate floral notes of violet and sage intermingle with savory spices, adding complexity and intrigue to the palate. Further notes of cured meats lend a smoky, umami quality that balances the deep fruit and spice. This is an incredibly structured wine with great texture and finesse that will reward with further bottle age.
