Dark and juicy cherries, plums, and wild blackberries. Robust yet supple through the mid-palate, with firm tannins and exquisite acid balance. Hints of baking chocolate and dried cherries present themselves along with silky tannin.
Blend: 99% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Petit Verdot
Jeb Dunnuck
From all Dionysus Vineyard grapes and mostly varietal, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Protagonist spent 15 months in oak and is a block-specific offering. Full-bodied, it has lengthy, refined tannins and integrated oaky spice, with currant, plum, and graphite coalescing around its inherent power.
